1Tribe Farm is a family owned, veteran ran business located in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.  At 1Tribe Farm we use small-scale regenerative farming practices that keep us in close relationship with the animals and land, providing us all with a higher quality of life - building soil, sequestering water and carbon, and bolstering environmental diversity that nourishes us while investing in the future.  The result is clean, delicious meat and happy, healthy animals that were grown and harvested with thoughtfulness and respect.

After much thought and research, we purchased our first South Poll cattle in 2017.  Their smaller frames, fertility, heat tolerance, and docility immediately had us enamored with the breed.  To top it all off - the tenderness in which they finish on all grass system is remarkable.  For us here at 1Tribe, we knew we had found the perfect collaborators.  We can never say enough great things about the South Poll breed and invite you to see the difference for yourself!

Increased selection for growth EPDs in a cow herd leads to larger frame animals that are too big to be efficient as cows. Working for a larger-framed animal or a huge ribeye area in a grass program will adversely affect fertility and longevity, the very things we have placed first on our list."
